To make matters worse, the coming friday I get an email with shift schedules, which has me scheduled for 4 shifts during reading week. Now, I thought they would be closed that week (I even asked some guy I worked with), so I frantically email the manager telling her of my mistake and also send out a mass e-mail asking people to take my shifts. 2 of the 4 shifts were covered, which made me feel better, and soon I get e-mails from other people saying they made the same mistake. I am now feeling much better, not being the only idiot.
I come back from reading week, look at my schedule, and see that I am working one day this week. Of course, I get the date wrong, thinking it was tomorrow that I was scheduled instead of today. So after running some errands I have dinner around 6ish and come back around 6:45. Being tired, I lie down for a nap, when I get a strange idea. What if I read the schedule wrong? After all, it had happened before. I open the file and surely enough, the shift is today, from 5pm to 9pm.
By this time it was almost 7. I threw my coat on and running shoes (it's still cold out, wtf me?) and in 5 minutes I'm at work. Luckily the other girl didn't have anything complicated to set up, she didn't seem pissed off either. At her suggestion I don't send a late sign in email, instead only sign out and state that I forgot to sign in then. Tragedy averted?
There's a meeting tomorrow, I'm curious if she'll mention how "some of us" have been a little careless. She never replied to any of my emails, which is a little frustrating. How am I supposed to know what's going on in her head? Maybe this is just her strategy, keeping me in a permanent state of anxiety.
In other news, I'm in the process of replacing all my icons with ones that I make myself. Yay.
So 2 weeks ago, we had a long weekend. I was supposed to work the monday, which was a day off for everyone else, but being in weekend mode it completely slipped my mind and I didn't show. The girl I was supposed to work with didn't show up either. I emailed the manager, I'm assuming she did as well, and she didn't say anything back. I don't stress too much about it, as reading week is fast approaching and I just want to gtfo and sleep.
